It begins one day in the morning. I just realized that I have many similar shapes as you know it as doodle. Maybe everyone will do the same like me when they
have pen in hand while doing something like attending calls, listening music, waiting or stuck
somewhere. Well, it makes me curious what’s the meaning because i do different
shapes off doodle. Then i start to watch every paper in my office desk and in
one picture of mine, here they are:
“We
tend to doodle when we are bored or stressed” says Ruth Rostron, professional
handwriting analyst and vice-chair of the British Institute of Graphologist.
Many
of us end up drawing the same things. Stars, flowers, boxes, and arrows
frequently crop up common symbols of aspirations and feelings. And as you see
above, my doodles are many times about arrows, squares, beauty faces, zigzag
and many times i do have constant signature. So today I search info about what
is the meaning of my doodles. And this is what i got:
“A
large doodle shows person is confident and outgoing, while a small one suggests
the person prefers to observe rather than participate”
Faces
The
expression on a doodled face is often a good indication of the mood or
character of the person who has drawn it. A nicely drawn, a good looking face
suggest you see the good in others. If you sketch weird or ugly faces, you are
probably mistrustful. Comic faces demonstrate a desire to be the center of
attention. Child-like doodles of a faces suggest neediness. Profiles indicate
you are an introvert, a hat that covers the head or an eye may imply a self
protective nature.
Arrows
A
determined person with a specific goal in mind will draw arrows, subconsciously
‘aiming’ at his/her ‘target. If the arrow is sharp and angular, the target
probably is something important, perhaps a person needs to be confronted or a
job that needs to be applied for. If it’s more fluid and decorated it’s likely
to be the target is an affair of the heart or something the doodler feels
passionate about.
Straight
up arrows means you want to go straight to the top with loads of success and
arrows pointing all over the places means you've got so many option that you’re
spoiled for choice.
Squares
or boxes
Drawing
a square indicates you want control of a situation – that you’re thinking
through a problem. If your squares progress to a cube or a box, you’re likely
to be a very efficient, analytically person who can deal with difficult
situations with little fuss. Be careful if your boxes contain smaller boxes
you might be feeling a bit penned in and frustrated.
Zigzag
Just
as pattern made up of soft, flowing, curvy lines suggest a romantic, female
approach to things, patterns made up lots of straight lines, indicate more
aggressive masculine characteristics. Zigzags are particularly common doodle and
show energetic thinking and a desire to get on with things.
Signature
When
the person’s own name or signature is constantly drawn expect to find an
influential persona because he or she will certainly prizes themselves. While
an encircled name implies personal problems with the person of that name.
Other
than my doodles, there are also some meanings for,
Stars
Stars
are often drawn by ambitious people. Lots of little stars indicate optimism. If
you’re drawn one big, bold, embellished star, you've hot a definite goal in
your sights. Neat, uniform star suggest good mental focus, while freehand,
asymmetric stars show an energetic personality. When the doodler employees
color it will give further clues to what is really wanted.
Stick
figure
Commonly
doodled by highly successful people, the simple stick figure figure reveals
someone who is in control of their emotions and incredibly focused on their
goals in life.
Chess
board
The
black and white checkerboard doodle suggest patience and persistence. Perhaps
you are weighing-up various options regarding a tricky situation? It
also the favorite doodle of people who are prone to mood swings.
Flowers
Soft,
rounded petals around a circular flower center suggest an amiable,
family-centrist person. If the center of your flower is circle, but your petals
are pointy, you are probably hiding a warm heart behind a pricky
defensiveness. If you doodle a bunch of perky-looking flowers you are likely to
be sociable. Drooping flower heads on the other hand, indicate you’re burdened
by worry.

Fences
The
idea of fence is to prevent things from getting in or out. When a fence is
drawn it may surround something; that objects or person will probably be the
source cause of the worry. Often just a name is encircled by the fencing
suggesting that he or she is the source of the worry.
House
This
common doodle indicates a need for a house suggest for security. A neat drawing
of a house suggest a secure home life, a more messy-looking sketch (especially
one without windows) indicates unhappiness with your home life. A
house pictured on its own top of a hill suggest you’re feeling isolated and
lonely.
Trees
The
style and type shows the inner, emotional character. Leaves or branches directed
upward show a healthy optimism, if they point downward it implies depression. A
wide tree shows self-protection. When there is some evidence of the tree being
surrounded with plants or other smaller trees the artist may be uncertain, hesitate or unrealistic.
